The Fourth International Workshop on Seizure Prediction (IWSP4) was held in Kansas City, Missouri, June 4-7, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center. Researchers from all over the world and from the disciplines of medicine, engineering, math, physics and computer science met to collaborate on seizure prediction, detection and control.  We wanted to give epilepsy patients a voice in the research that someday will affect and hopefully help them.  To that end we created a 22-question survey to be completed by epilepsy patients and their caregivers. The results of this survey were shared with the workshop participants to aid them in determining the future directions of their efforts.
